Surfer Boy

A friend of ours is having a birthday party for his son at a water park soon so we decided to try on Chase's swimsuit to be sure that it's not too big. It's a little big, but it works. He looks like a little surfer boy with his matching shirt :-) He loves to put on new clothes and he really enjoyed wearing his swimsuit around the house for an hour or so. In fact, he didn't want to take it off. When he wears new clothes for the first time he stands in front of the mirror and admires himself :-)

This week Chase has started doing several new things. Friday, he discovered he can climb up onto our bed all by himself. He can also climb up on the couch and chairs with ease now. And he does it quite often :-) It's amazing to see how quickly he is growing and learning.

Just this morning as we were all sitting at the table eating breakfast he starting playing Simon Says with us. This is something he's come up with on his own, we didn't show him. He would raise his arms, wait for us to do it then he would quickly lower them. Then he began slapping the table and watching to see if we would do it. He would stop abruptly and then start up again. Then he started raising one arm in the middle of slapping the table. He would just laugh if we couldn't keep up with him. We were cracking up laughing. Maybe we will try to get some video of that soon.
