Engagement Party

Last week a good friend of ours had an engagement party.  He asked Greg to drive for him.  Sounds simple enough, right?  Well being a driver for an engaged couple is more than just driving them to the party and home again.  The day started around 2 p.m.  Greg and his friend went to the flower shop to have flowers taped to the car.  Then, Greg drove him and his brother home so that they could get dressed for the party.  After that, they drove around our friends' neighborhood honking the horn to let his neighbors know that he is engaged.  Then they drove to our friends' fiancee's neighborhood.  They picked her up and drove around her neighborhood honking the horn to show that she is engaged.  Then they drove to the photo studio for pictures, with lots of friends and family tagging along.  By this time it was around 7 p.m.  The party did not start until 8 p.m.  So Greg drove them around until it was time to go to the boat for the party.

Once they arrived, everyone boarded the boat to take a cruise down the Nile.  Once the boat left the shore, it was time to crank up the music!!  The party continued on until 11 p.m.  Yes, Chase was with us and he had a blast!  We didn't get home until midnight!  Thankfully, Chase slept late the next morning.

Yes, that is tape he is putting on our car!
They taped flowers to the hood, the doors and the roof of the car.
The finished product!
