We put up our Christmas tree this week before Thanksgiving. Now normally I wouldn't put my tree up that early but we bought it this week and I had to make sure no branches were missing. When we first got here 5 years ago, you couldn't find Christmas trees anywhere. Now there are lots of them. They aren't as big and full as the ones in the States but it works for us.
I decorated the tree while Chase was asleep one night because I'm sure something would have been broken if he had helped :-) When he woke up the next morning and saw the tree he said, "Wow, cool!" His favorite ornament is one that his grandma and grandpa gave him last year for his second Christmas. It's a puppy sitting at a work bench with the number 2 on his shirt. He gives the puppy a kiss at least twice a day.
If you click on the first picture you can see an upclose picture of Chase with his new Crocs. A friend brought them to us this week from the States. We needed some slippers for him for this winter because the marble floors get really cold here. But, because Chase is so active he always slips and falls with his slippers because they don't have grips on the bottom. So after talking with friends who have Crocs and learning how warm they are we decided to get him a pair. He loves them too! Aren't they cute on him?
