Story Book Character Day

I am a little late in posting these pictures, but better late than never.  Chase's school had a story book character parade at his school just before Halloween.

After the parade his class had a party in their classroom. The last picture was taken at Trunk or Treat at our church on Halloween.  Chase refused to wear his Spiderman costume which was odd since he loves to wear it all the time around the house.  I think he was just trying to figure out why everyone was dressed up in costumes and going from car to car asking for candy.  His Aunt Christy and Uncle Jimmy didn't have a problem at all dressing up as ECU fans.  Well, it wasn't a stretch for them since they are pretty fanatical about ECU anyway!
Chase's Aunt Christy has already drafted him into the ECU fan club.  Everytime he sees a ECU pirate on a flag, bumper sticker, t-shirt (which he owns two of thanks to Aunt Christy and Uncle Jimmy), etc. he says, "look momma, it's ECU."

First Soccer Game

The first picture is of Chase before we left home for his first soccer game.  His uniform is a little big but he still likes it.  His team is called the Rowdies.  He scored the first goal of the game, which he was very proud of.  The third and fourth pictures are Chase with his new friend Brie.  They stick together pretty much the whole time they are practicing or playing a game.  And the last picture is Chase and Grandpa.  Watching the kids practice and play has been quite entertaining.  As soon as the ball was kicked our team just stood there and watched it roll by them.  They weren't quite sure what they were supposed to do.  One little girl refused to play.  She sat on the bleachers with us the whole time.  When her mother asked her if she was going out on the field she politely said "no thank you."  I can't wait to see what happens at the next game.
